| “I consider being elected to the Pikeville City Commission a great privilege. As a life-long resident of Pikeville, I have had the opportunity to watch first-hand as our City has developed into one of the nation’s finest small towns. As a father of two children and a local attorney, I look to the future and the promise it holds for Pikeville.
During my term as Commissioner, I look to implement my personal and professional experiences into the continued progression of our City government. My experience as a former prosecutor has allowed me to develop strong bonds with local law enforcement, fire, and emergency personnel, and I intend to be accessible to the needs of the many men and women who do so much to make this City a place which we all can be proud to call our home. Keeping an eye towards the future financial and cultural progression of Pikeville, it is my goal to work with the existing commission and Mayor Justice towards the continued effort to develop our community into a beacon for eastern Kentucky, and to further ensure a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.”

| My vision is to be the most progressive, cleanest, best maintained city in eastern Kentucky. e want to be business friendly, tourism minded and to continue to support our educational institutions (Pikeville City Schools and Pikeville College.) We need to continue to encourage and support our biggest employer Pikeville Medical Center. We have great recreational facilities and we need to maintain them in first class way. Another very important goal is to maintain and improve our public utilities.
To foster a spirit of cooperation between the City of Pikeville and the Pike County Government, working on common problems for the betterment of all our citizens.

| I am honored that the good Citizens of Pikeville elected me to a third term. They have placed their confidence in me to be their voice on the Commission. By doing so they place a great burden on me to be a fiduciary of thier well being. I do not take this duty lightly. I will not stand by and allow burdensome taxes to be levied against them. I will always watch out how their tax dollars are being spent. I know how important it is to live within a budget. Keeping our City in a sound financial condition is paramount to everything we do. I am glad to have a financial background that I can draw upon.
The last four years have been very exciting for me. I have seen and had a part in several great achievements. The under ground utilities and many street improvements, the Parking Garage and it's access to Pikeville College and the new Civic Center, City Park and Kentucky Ave and High Street Renovations. It has been a joy seeing these great things happening to the City.
My Goals include continued growth, prosperity and to continue to be conscious of the needs of our City employees. The City employees health and welfare are important. When I ran for this seat the first time I promised to recognize their importance and contributions to our City. I continue that promise today. As city commissioner I offer support in helping to control and elimination of the Drug and Alcohol problems that lead our news headlines.

| As I begin my full second term as City Commissioner I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve the citizens of Pikeville. Although all commissioners may not agree on all issues that are brought before us, I truly believe each one of us has a true desire to work for the betterment of the City Of Pikeville. Some recent examples are the new parking facility, The newly renovated City Park, and the soon to be completed underground utility project in early spring of 2005. Our next goal needs to be the revitalization of the downtown area with retail, restaurants, and lodging. These are the visions of a progressive city government, that I can honestly say that I am proud to be associated with.
